A Good Day with Old Friends

Poor Macee, Avery just clung to her.

Austin, Avery and Macee at the wishing fountain.

If you look closely you can see a smile sneaking out of Macee's mouth.

Ausitn, they just had to ride upstairs, didn't make for good pics.

My little munchkin didn't even get on an animal, she wanted me to come ride with her.

Last Saturday, Avery and I actually got out of town and went to Bastrop to watch a very dear friend of mines son, Austin, play basketball. They were playing at Prairie View, my old alma mater. And I think that was the first time I had stepped into that gym in 23 years. The exact date was May 20, 1985, the night I graduated. Seemed a little weird and sad at the same time. Wow how the time flies.

Anyway, after the game, we headed to Monroe to watch the new Disney movie "BOLT", and it was real cute. We ended up going to the matinee at the mall, which was only $2.50 a person which I thought was great. But they could not keep the popcorn popped. I still don't know what the deal was, people would order and they would have to wait for it to pop and then they would give them their bags and then they would be out again, just wasn't run to well. And I love me some Movie Popcorn. Not much else that can beat it. Anyway, we had some time to kill before the movie and so we did lunch, and a little shopping. I had my camera with me and got a few pics of the kids together. I have loved living in Crossett, but I sure do miss getting to see my old friends on a more regular basis. I have made many new friends here and love them all dearly but still miss my old friends. Alicia and I tried to figure out how long it had been since we had done anything together and we decided it was before she had Austin and he is 10 so 10 years is too long. I saw a lot of them at Avery's birthday party but it was just not for long enough and I was so busy.
