Children's Ministry Day 2009

Our boys and girls at South Main Baptist Church discovered today that a healthy heart is a helping heart when they participated in Children's Ministry Day 2009.

Children's Ministry Day gives kids an opportunity to minister to people with health-care needs through a variety of hands-on service projects. Today, boys and girls from thousands of churches will support medical missions, health-care facilities, and wellness projects all across North America.

Our children delivered Hospital Care Baskets to the different waiting rooms at the hospital for those who are experiencing hospital visits and extended stays. These baskets consisted of chips, candybars, crackers, hard candy, small hygeine items and puzzle books.

They also took treat bags to our Firemen/EMT workers.

In each of our baskets we placed tracts and Open Windows devotionals.

We had a good group of children, after all their deliveries we took them to McDonalds for lunch.

With the firemen on duty.

Here they are getting their deputy fire badge stickers.

The sun was right in their eyes.

Here they are in the day surgery waiting room, where they placed one of their baskets.

Outside ACMC, they said we want in the shade Mrs. Susan.

Emily, Zoe, Avery and Kayla.

Sweet little Zach, he was the only little fellow with a bunch of girls.

Mrs. Jenna and Allie peeking around.

I may add some more pictures later, Mrs. Jenna had her camera with her

and we also have a pic of the baskets.
